Child protection in schools should be a priority.
Join us to restore schools as a trauma-free environment.
Illinois is facing challenges with teachers leaving their profession and parents feeling overwhelmed about raising their kids well - but at the same time seeking opportunities for positive action within the schools to help their children. KIDS TOO helps solve these problems for both educators and parents by showing them how to reduce child protection issues that plague schools and impact the well-being of students.
Did you know?
1 in 10 children experience sexual misconduct at the hands of a school official before they graduate high school, according to the U.S. Department of Education.
Social media use is pervasive, starting in elementary school. Nearly 40% of children ages 8-12, (despite supposed age restrictions), and 95% of youth ages 13-17 use social media.
Under Illinois law (405 ILCS 5/3-550), schools can secretly give children as young as 12 years old up to 8 sessions of 90-minute psychotherapy without parents even knowing about it.
