KIDS TOO Policy Info Session
Please join us to learn more about an epidemic that’s impacting the well-being of kids in schools. 1 in 10 kids will be sexually abused by an educator or staff while in school. Illinois has made some progress at protecting youth in schools with Faith’s Law. However, more laws are needed to protect another vulnerable population in schools: students who are 18 years old and older, including kids with disabilities who often remain in high school through age 22.
We invite IL Senator Don Harmon's 39th District constituents to learn about a bill (HB4241) that would protect older teens in high school from predatory adults. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear from the bill’s sponsors, IL Representative (111th District) Amy Elik.
CPS Board Candidate Info Session with Kids First Chicago
We invite Chicago Public Schools parents interested in being more active participants in the decisions being made for students. In this session, attendees will learn about what it means to be a Board Director, key timing for Board election and other information about running for the School Board.

Fourth Annual Program + Fundraiser (Virtual)
Attend our annual program where we will transport to Zialena Winery in Sonoma County and recognize the 2021 P.A.X.A. Warrior and P.A.X.A. Parent.
The 2021 P.A.X.A. Warrior is Terri Miller, President of the Board of Directors at Stop Educator Sexual Abuse Misconduct and Exploitation (S.E.S.A.M.E.). Her responsibilities include providing support, resource materials and research to survivors, their families, professionals and media. She is the mother of four grown children, grandmother to twins, and considers herself a M.O.M. or Momma On a Mission.
We are also thrilled to recognize Survivor Advocate, Faith Colson, as the 2021 P.A.X.A. Parent. Faith Colson is an advocate for child protection. Growing out of her personal experience as the survivor of sexual abuse, Faith has been working to get legislation passed in Illinois to better protect students from abuse in schools. As the mother of three children currently attending public schools, Faith also serves on a task force in another state that looks at school-based mental health services.
During the wine tasting experience, guests will enjoy and learn about three of Zialena's top wines- 2019 Sauv Blanc, 2016 Zinfandel, and a 2015 Cabernet. The sommeliers will take us through Zialena's wine making process - starting in the tasting room, through the vineyard and ending at their production facility.

This component of the P.A.X.A. Child Sex Abuse Program is primarily focused on several conversations to focus on prevention measures to prohibit child sexual abuse. This program is held with parents and/or adults in positions working around children. We hold the program quarterly via YouTube for parents to provide the platform for anyone to listen to our ongoing series. Throughout each one of our programs P.A.X.A. uses our 4-step uncovering process to help parents, adults or children uncover how to identify tactics, patterns, and behaviors.
