2024 Illinois Parent Survey/ Full Report Developed by KIDS TOO
ABOUT THIS REPORT
This research project was commissioned by KIDS TOO to gain insights into what matters to Illinois Parents & Guardians on critical School Safety-related topics -- and to uncover the true pervasiveness of school safety violations in the state of Illinois.
School Safety topics covered in the research include but are not limited to Educator Sexual Misconduct, Digital Safety, and threats to Parental Rights, with deep dives on select key issues within each.
In addition to quantifying magnitude and concern, the research identifies how, after further education on these topics, parents prioritize the greatest issues threatening the health and safety of our children, and what actions they are likely to take.
OUR PROCESS
The quantitative study was conducted by a third party marketing firm, RIALA Consulting, in Q4 2024. More than 100 Illinois Parents and Guardians were recruited externally and participated remotely in this study. 85% of the sample were parents and most of the remainder were grandparents. The respondents were 50/50 gender balanced and represented Illinois demographic makeup.
Respondents were provided a brief overview of each issue and key statistics before responding to questions and provided the opportunity to share open-ended input. The survey was fully confidential, with no individually identifying information.
This report is an overview of the full study and serves to provide highlights on key issues & take aways.
